What We Do

We source bulk USDA approved food materials from the Midwest and through the efforts of our thousands of New England volunteers, package those bulk food materials through an assembly line process into 10 different meal types. Packaging events take place at our Pembroke, MA warehouse and packaging facility AND remote locations throughout New England. Those meals currently support over 690 food banks and pantries, homeless shelters, school backpack and college, veteran, and senior meal programs across the region.

Our Story

Matthew Martin, End Hunger New England’s Regional Manager, moved to Massachusetts in 2010 from Minnesota with his wife Heidi and young family.  Matthew was an ordained Lutheran Pastor and moved to serve a church in Quincy, MA.  In 2011 he met Floyd and Kathy, Outreach’s founders.  Inspired by their passion and mission, Matthew left the ministry and began a new one: to Feed the Hungry in New England.  In 2011, childhood hunger in America had reached its peak.
